Agnes Jebet Ngetich leads the runners in the women's half marathon at the World Road Running Championships in Copenhagen on 20 September. Dan Vernon's photograph shows her during the race, not at the finish. Ngetich is in the foreground, with rivals behind her and spectators beside the barriers. The Kenyan went on to win in 1:05:15. Her women-only world record remains subject to the usual ratification process.
